In May, BTS Ministries asked whether understanding God's righteousness could lead us to discovering our true value. Then in June, we explored how seeking the Kingdom of God is an essential part of that discovery, as Jesus taught in Matthew 6:33. So this month, we bring these truths together to see how God's Kingdom, His righteousness, and our identity are beautifully connected.

Romans 14:17 says, “For the kingdom of God is …righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

God wants us to become more like Him, reflecting His love and righteousness in the way we live. When we start embracing this life-changing concept of seeking God's righteousness daily, the world's negative opinions about our worth, will begin to fade away. 

Before you were even conceived, God knew every strength and every weakness you would have, every success and every failure, and yet He still chose to create you, because He wanted you here. So, the more we obey God's Word to seek His kingdom & His righteousness, we will gradually learn to think, speak, live, and love more like Him. So, I encourage everyone to continue meditating on these truths until they take deep root in your heart and begin to bear fruit. As you continue to live and grow closer to God, you will begin to realize your true identity—which is what makes you truly Valuable: you are loved by God, created in His image, and called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) 

In conclusion: The answer to the question we asked in May is yes: as we seek God's Kingdom & His righteousness, we will discover our true value because our identity is found in the One who created us. By seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness, we will also begin to recognize what Isaiah observed, from the very beginning of this series: “The fruit of righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.” (Isaiah 32:17 NIV)

As we grow in Him, we discover not only who God is—but who we are in Him.

Valuable Mirror of Truth #23: “The Kingdom of God, His Righteousness, and How He Sees Us.” Part 2

Last month, BTS Ministries introduced the idea that one of the greatest journeys we can take is discovering our true value and purpose. Many people spend their lives searching for significance and whether their lives truly matter.

The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. This truth reminds us that both the joyful and difficult times can have meaning within God's greater plan.

As we continue exploring God's righteousness and our true value, we must also consider the Kingdom of God.

In Matthew 6:33, Jesus said, "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." The Kingdom of God is about living under God's loving rule and guidance. It is not merely a future destination but a present reality that shapes how we think, live, and relate to others. It calls us to trust God rather than be consumed by worry, fear, or the pursuit of material things. Jesus taught that our lives become more meaningful when we place God's values first, because He knows our needs and cares deeply about our well-being.

How do we seek God's Kingdom? We do so by pursuing truth, developing a relationship with God, studying His Word, and applying its principles in our daily lives. 

Seeking the Kingdom of God is a lifelong journey of becoming more aligned with His character, love, and wisdom.

Wherever you are in life, we encourage you to read the Scriptures below and meditate on God’s kingdom, righteousness, and how He values us, as well as God's invitation to humanity:

Valuable Mirror of Truth #22: “Understanding the Righteousness of God, and How He Sees You.”

Why is the righteousness of God so important for us to understand? And could it have a profound and positive impact on our lives?

The righteousness of God clearly defines His glory and all of His unmatched attributes. He is Perfect Joy. He is Endless Peace. His love is always abiding—and He is Holy. I once heard it said that God is always all that He ought to be. I love that thought so much, because it seems to speak of the Omniscience of God.

What if we could embrace that same sense of purpose in our own lives? What if we could accept who we are, as we were created to be, and find comfort, joy, and contentment in that truth?

Learning more about God’s righteousness also helps us understand why being chosen by Him is such an honor. It invites us to recognize that the One and Only God of the universe designed each of us with intention and purpose. However and whenever you were conceived, your life is not an accident. Nothing exists outside of God’s awareness and will.

He knew everything you would do—both good and bad, and yet, He still valued you. That truth alone speaks to the depth of His righteousness and His Love.

During the months of June and July, BTS Ministries wants to help you explore your personal value and identity. Together, we will look at how seeking and understanding God’s righteousness can guide you in discovering the purpose and intention behind your life.
